So I went shopping the other day in Maine, and since I'm from Canada I had to go back across the border with all of my purchases. No big deal right? Wrong! See I hadn't been shopping in a while so I basically had what you'd call shopping withdrawl... I had it bad. So I spent every last cent over there in one store. Now this was fine and dandy until we showed up at the boarder. I don't know if you've heard of a little thing called duty? Well guess what! Yours truly (that'd be me) had to pay duty! Let me just tell you again that I was broke. I WAS BROKE. Thank God my mom was there to pay it for me. I felt so embarrassed, a 19 year old can't even pay her freaking duty! So the moral of the story, kiddies, is this: always factor in the duty! ALWAYS! Because you may not always have your mom there to bail you out.
